Avis 72029 EADS Barracuda

The EADS Barracuda is a modern German-Spanish unmanned aerial vehicle (drone). The probable maximum ceiling is 6,100 meters, the maximum speed is around 0.8-0.9 Ma, and the range is about 200 kilometers. The maximum take-off weight of the drone is 3250 kg. The first documented flight of this machine took place in April 2006.

The EADS Barracuda is a reconnaissance drone, but it is capable of carrying overhead weapons. It was built with the use of elements of stealth technology, and most likely in its production many composite elements were used to increase the strength of the structure, but also reduce its weight. The new drone is almost certainly adapted to operate on a network-centric battlefield. The main rival of EADS Barracuda on the market is another European design - Dassault nEuron.
